Description:The growth-promoting activity of the secreted form of amyloid β/A4 protein precursor (sAPP-695) on fibroblasts is represented by this fragment which seems to be the only site of sAPP-695 involved in the growth stimulation. It has been suggested that this fragment is also involved in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease.
